SHELTER IN PLACE: CHARCUTERIE BOARD

The world is at a standstill right now, with no end in sight. New words: Coronavirus, Coved-19, social distancing, and self isolation, all new and now very familiar words in our daily lexicon.

We will survive this, hopefully coming out stronger on the other side. We are rapidly going to gain a greater awareness of our world, how fragile it can be, and how we can and must adapt and grow. 

While in self isolation, we can brighten our contained worlds. Food and connections, (mainly virtual these days) are extremely key. Food binds us together, it creates moments around the table to truly connect. This doesn’t have to be boring, nor uninspired, after all time is the one thing we have.

As a wine educator and chef, I have decided to produce a series of culinary and wine videos demonstrating ways to take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. 

I hope this inspires you to look at your pantry and refrigerator in a new light. Think of it as a collection of tools to create simple yet beautiful culinary art. Create your own expression of love and joy on your table, and bring more light into this otherwise scary and uncertain time.
